[워싱턴=신화통신/] 크리스틴 라가르드 국제통화기금(IMF) 총재는 25일(일) 그리스의 에반겔로스 베니젤로스 재무장관을 워싱턴 IMF와 세계은행 연석, 연례회의 중 따로  만났다.

그들은 IMF 사절단이 그리스 경제시책 제5차 감사를 수행하기 위해 다음주 정도에 어떤 조건 하에 아테네로 부임할 것인가에 관해서 협의했다고 IMF대변인이 단문의 성명서에서 밝혔다.

국가 및 금융기관들의 압박의 중심권에 있는 채무국 그리스는 국가부도를 방지하기 위해 수 주 내에 IMF를 포함한 국제적인 대주(貸主)들로부터 다른 어떤 금융차입을 확보하기 위해 노력하고 있다.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Sunday met Greece's Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos in Washington on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the Washington-based IMF and World Bank.

"They discussed the terms under which the IMF mission would return to Athens to undertake the fifth review of Greece's economic program, most likely this coming week,"an IMF spokesperson said in a short statement.

Greece, the debt-ridden country at the epicenter of the sovereign and banking stress, is endeavoring to secure its next tranche of funding 　from international lenders including the IMF in coming weeks to avoid default.
