[워싱턴=신화통신/] 26일 미국 수도 워싱턴에서 사람들이 모여 생강과자 빵으로 도회지 모형(진저브레드 타운) 조각품을 만들고 있다.

건축가인 데이비드 슈바르츠가 2006년 생강 빵으로 만드는 ‘진저브레드 타운’ 건설을 처음 제안했다. 그 후 매년 크리스마스에 앞서서 워싱턴의 건축가와 디자이너들이 모여 진저브레드 타운을 만들었다.

올해의 경우 220kg의 생강빵, 90kg의 아이싱, 10kg의 코튼 캔디를 사용하여 이 작업을 다 마치는데 네 시간 가량 걸렸다. 이 진저브레드 타운은 해체되어 지역 내 병원과 자선단체들에 기증될 것이다.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27, 2012 (Xinhua) -- People construct the gingerbread town made by gingerbread in Washington, capital of the United States, Nov. 26, 2012.

Archetect David M. Schwarz proposed to build a gingerbread town in 2006. After that, every year before Christmas, archetects and designers in Washington gather and make a gingerbread town.

People spent nearly four hours to complete the work this year, with about 220 kg of gingerbread, 90 kg of icing and 10 kg of cotton candy. After the exhibition, the gingerbread town will be dismantled and donated to local hospitals and communities with charity donation. (Xinhua/Fang Zhe) (dzl)
