[카라카스,베네수엘라=AP/KNS] 베네수엘라 대통령 휴고 차베즈는 26일(현지시각) 리비아의 새로운 정부를 인정하지 않을 것이며 리비아 내에서 추가로 전쟁이 일어날 것이라 예상한다고 밝혔다.

차베즈 대통령은 자신의 친구였던 무아마르 카다피의 사살을 비난했다. 그는 리비아 분쟁 내내 카다피를 옹호했으며 NATO의 군사 개입을 강력히 비난했다.

그는 대통령궁에서 기자들에게 “우리(베네수엘라)에게 리비아에는 정부가 없는 것”이라고 전했다.

“우리는 NATO가 세운 정부를 인정하지 않는다. 그들은 리비아에서 폭탄, 집단 학살, 암살을 통해 정부를 세운 것”이라며 “사람들이 좋아하든 말든 카다피가 리비아의 대통령이었다”고 밝혔다.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Wednesday that he won't recognize Libya's new government and predicted more war in the country.

The Venezuelan leader condemned the killing of Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi, whom he had considered a friend. He defended Gadhafi throughout the conflict and strongly criticized NATO's military involvement in the country.

"For us, there is no government in Libya," Chavez told reporters at the presidential palace.

"We don't recognize the government that NATO has installed. It's installed a government through bombs in Libya and through a genocide ... and an assassination," Chavez said.

"Independently of who the president was, whether you or others didn't like him ... he was the president of Libya," Chavez said. He said the conflict has left behind a shattered country, and he predicted that it isn't over.
