[포틀랜드,오레곤=AP/KNS] 미국 텍사스에서 30일(현지시각) 수십 명의 반(反)월스트리트 시위자들이 경찰들과 마찰을 빚은 끝에 체포되었고, 오레곤에서는 경찰관들이 부유한 지역에 위치한 한 공원에서 시위대를 끌어내는 사건이 벌어졌다.

뉴욕을 비롯한 동부의 여러 도시에서는 폭설이 내려 시위자들이 공공 장소에서 캠핑을 하는데 어려움을 겪었다.

6주 전 맨하탄에서 정부에 대한 대기업의 영향력과 부의 불평등을 비난하고자 시작된 ‘오큐파이’ 운동은 미국 내 크고 작은 도시는 물론 전세계로 확산되었다. 시위자들은 몇 주 동안 공원에서 텐트를 쳐놓고 도시 관계자들을 지치게 해왔는데 심지어 이들의 움직임에 지지를 보내던 이들 중 일부 역시 우려를 표하고 있다.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Dozens of anti-Wall Street protesters were arrested Sunday in Texas, 　　where they clashed with police over food tables, and in Oregon, 　　where officers dragged them out of a park in an affluent neighborhood.

In New York and many other East Coast cities, it was a snowstorm that was making it difficult for demonstrators to stay camped out in public places.

The "Occupy" movement, which began six weeks ago in lower Manhattan to decry corporate influence in government and wealth inequality, has spread to cities large and small across the country and around the world. Demonstrators have spent weeks camped out in parks, wearing at the patience of city officials - even those who have expressed some level of support for their cause.
